    Bio- Donna Wolter

    • Originally from the eastern states of Australia, Donna has called Margaret River, Western Australia home for over 20 years.  With two amazing adult children having left the nest, a teenage daughter and solar installing partner to keep her grounded; Donna was drawn to digital photography based on a desire to record and register the amazing, unique and diverse natural environment. A deep respect for the flora and fauna of the south west region; her desire to fly, to travel and to explore creativity through nature has fuelled her photographic journey.

Following 15 years of administrative roles in local government and the not for profit sector in Margaret River, Donna decided to pursue a career as a landscape and nature photographer and has been building a repertoire of work and social media followers for the past five years. Donna's desire is to encourage eco-tourism and conservation of the south west region through her images. With 20 years of local knowledge to assist her in her endeavours, she is helping other individuals understand and appreciate the unique environment of the South West region.

"Somewhere in the South West, wish you were here.." is gathering momentum, and Donna's vision for EcHoe Images has always been to echo the place she calls home, a place for family, for recreation and for love.

    Kambarang, Season of Birth

    November 18, 2016

    Donna Wolter

In the South West,  Kambarang is one of six indigenous seasons and occurs between October - November.  It is the season of birth, of new life and there is an abundance of colours and flowers that explode all around us like fireworks in a sea of green.

Today after years of yearning, of wishing and hoping and planning and learning, of honing and practising and doubtful misjudgement and fear, I as a photographer am fully exposed.

I'm not overexposed, or underexposed; I am perfect in my shiny new skin, with my wide and toothy grin and eyes that are rounded with wonder and passion and love and joy.

My white balance is perfectly aligned with the amount and type of light available and I have grown into a beautiful wild, nature loving spirit that glistens in Kambarang, the season of birth and I just want to sing about life as I know it with my pictures.

So today, on the birth of my website I need to voice the importance of the small things and the impact of the energy of the universe on you and I.

The universe answers your call for assistance,  It will provide what you ask.  If you ask it for love, it will provide love.  If you ask the universe for friends, it will provide friends.  If you ask the universe for help, help will always come.

I asked the universe for a camera and a new career, for my own business and clients; the Universe took my breath away with its powerful response, I got what I asked for.

I asked the universe to take me places I had never been and do things I'd never thought of doing before. I was served a menu of experiences that were delightful to taste with a texture like syrup that took my breath away with its aromatic palate; I got what I asked for.

All the Universe required of me was to act, to take action, to think it and it could, should and would happen.  I put it out there and the universe answered the call.

So on the birth of my website, in the spirit of Kambarang, I'm making a pact with you; I'll share my journey if you promise that you will tell the universe about your secret desires.  The desires that matter the most and have the deepest impact on your soul.  So I ask you, if all you had to do was ask, what would you ask of the universe and are you prepared to ACT?
